Welcome to your home away from home

The nightmare has just begun.

Entering into a different world. It's huge! It's new! It's a place waiting to be explored.

Although it sound a bit fascinating but in fact it wasn't. It was all so hectic, didn't know where to go. We're on a taxi some-more. Total lost in side the huge campus. You're just a tiny little miniature person when standing in foreign grounds. The driver didn't know where to go; we lagi don't know where to go. Turn to the left, turn to the right, the road is so empty and long. My goodness. I'm getting smaller... *shrinks shrinks* Coming to new places means the mouth gotta start asking people around. Thicken up the face, put on a smile, almost formal greeting and a nice tone. That's it! BUT deep inside monologue-ing.

Some stories behind gotta be disclosed. After all we should not hang our dirty linens for people to see. :P

Continuation to finding where in the world is the office stated to register. Imagine still having that huge luggage around. Got to this building. Asked where is it to register there, they say yes. So went to queue up. Sadly after some inquiry, it's not it. It's another building. What the... Still manage to ask where I'm suppose to go means more walking. Plus the weather is so bright and with that comes heat. I can tell you that it's not easy to locate the place I'm suppose to go unless you really open your eyes with each step you take.

After looking here and there, walking almost frantically, found the place. It's secluded behind another structure. Phew... thought that I could at least get something done but who knows, went there just to get the original copy of the surat tawaran. Double sweat-ness. Next to the faculty!

To get there is kinda tricky. Thank God for having Juli-kor there.. haha... It's good to have familiar people around. So from the new campus took the shuttle bus to the old campus which my faculty is there and good thing my hostel is there also. Don't have to travel back and forth. Settle to get my room first since it's already 4.30pm. Then off to the faculty's office. Upon reaching it's already near, too near to after office hours. Might as well just settle that the next day.

My roommate all in all is nice and helpful. See, I have quite a lot of nice and helpful people upon coming here. Hostel is dorm-like. Means share bathroom and toilet, a place to do laundry and of course, need to find a suitable time to hang clothes. Really chasing after the sun here 'cause it has been raining on and off these past few days. Weather a bit unpredictable here. It can either be so hot that can almost toast your skin or drizzle in the morning or afternoon and heavy rain at night - natural air-con. Hostel to classes at the most takes around 10mins.

The day itself that I reached, the day that I found out there's an orientation for the faculty's student. Missed the university's orientation but can't runaway from this.

Too lazy to talk bout the mini orientation. It's just like any other kind. Only difference is it's all happening at night.

What a day of running around from 1 state to another, 1 international airport to another, crossing the ocean, running inside the campus ground and finally settling down in my home away from home.

p/s: internet connection here in my hostel is that bit better than what I have back home.
